Sick and Tired but Never Give up

It was a sunny afternoon when I started to feel my body's temperature is getting high. My throat constricts and I'm trying to catch my breathte. My chest started to tighten as I continue to struggle this prolonging torture. I was alone in my room and I tried to shout as loud as I can to call my Aunt's attention. My tears started to run over my cheeks and I cannot take more burdens anymore.
They called my Mama who is actually working at the nearby school. Mama hurriedly went home to check me. She decided to take me to the hospital because of my pathetic situation. I tried to grasp some air just to fill my tightening chest, just to make me feel better, even just for a moment. It took several minutes for us to reach the nearby hospital. I thank God for making it easier for us to reach it.
The nurses accommodated us the moment we enter the emergency room. They made me use of a long hose that was connected to a green tank. It made me feel better though the pain in my chest never subsides.

A Lover's Story Part 1

It all started with a DRAWING...
The lady is a college student from a University, she is smart,
funny, goal-oriented, a leader, a singer,
a friend of everyone, and pretty. <3
Let us name her, Alice.
Alice is currently the head organizer of a
Musical Play at their school. She facilitates
almost everything including troubles.
She is currently having a problem about
their backdrop. She could not think well
because of so much pressure, from the play itself,
from the school requirements and a lot of stuffs.
Lucky her, she got a good, no the best suggestion
from her classmate.
Classmate 1: "Let's have our background drawn by
a good artist. He's really talented when it comes
to drawing. He's a classmate of my cousin at the nearby college"
Alice: "Hmmm, not a bad idea. Less hassle for me.
Okay then! Let's meet that person right away to avoid delays."

THE NEXT DAY
Classmate 1: "Alice, they said let's meet them at
the nearby mall."
Alice: "Okay, no problem."
Classmate 1: "You know what, my cousin said,
this guy is really something. Aside from being
a good artist, he is also a good dancer and guess what,
he got the looks! Oh my! I'm so excited to see him!"
Alice: <laugh>
Classmate 1: "But my cousin also said that he had a lot
of girlfriends now. Yikes!"
Alice: "Oh well, I don't give a damn. It's his life anyway.
So be it. We mean business here ayt?"

A FEW MINUTES LATER...
Classmate 1: "Here they are!"
Alice slowly turns her head to the direction
where the said guy is.
<TUG-DUG-TUG-DUG>
Alice: (what is it?? Why did my heart beats so fast??
What is happening to me??)
Right then and there, Alice met the guy named Julian.

Leaving No Soldier's Orphan Behind

I was 8 months old when my father left us for good. I mean left us forever.

My father was a soldier. He was a good husband and a father to us (as what my mother told me).
I'm only 6 years old I guess, when I experienced and understand fully my situation.
It was FAMILY DAY. Of course, this event should require a family. I mean, at least a mother, the child and a father would attend.
I was so embarrassed to attend the said event because I know, for myself, that I don't have that FAMILY. I only had my mother and MYSELF. NO FATHER at all. That was my mentality before, that a real family should have a mother, a child and a father. Not until I reached Grade 1, one of the most painful part of my life. Our teacher gave us an assignment to make a Family Tree. When it's my turn to recite, I explained my work. Then our teacher asked me why I only have me and my Mama's picture in my family tree. I then answered with no hesitation, "Wala man koy papa Ma'am" (I don't have a father Ma'am). Right then and there, I fully realized that, I am alone.
From my elementary years I become an achiever. I do everything with all the best I can. I joined extra-curricular activities, made friends, laughed. But at the end of each days, I still feel abandoned.

When I reached high school, I still pursued being an achiever, making myself realized that, my father left with a reason. I made it always on the top bearing in mind that, what I have right now, is because of him. My father though now in heaven, still had the way to make our life worry-free. Because of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, I am a proud scholar. They help the sons and daughters even the widowed wives of their soldiers, to be worry-free. They give scholarships to the children of those soldiers.
I once blamed the Lord for taking my father away from us. But now, I now understand everything. I know he has a plan for us. Because I know he won't let us down.
Now that I reached college, I am very much proud of my father, though I wasn't able to see him personally. I thank the Lord for always giving us strength to survive each day.
I've been through a lot of hardships. Even I'm in my college years, I still experienced those pains. There are instances wherein, FAMILY is always the topic. I can't help myself but to cry. But I know, I will feel better soon. I know that in my heart, i can surpass these challenges. And I thank also my mother for always being there. For being so supportive in my endeavors in life. <3
