House Warming Gifts-Homemade Floral Air Freshener

Floral Air Freshener

by Jane Lake

Here's an easy homemade craft to freshen your bathroom or closet - decorate a round air freshener with flowers and lace. Easy and quick to do, this project would also make a nice little shower game prize or bazaar craft.

Floral Air Freshener
Supplies:

  • round air freshener in a plastic casing
  • small piece of pregathered lace trim
  • silk carnation or similar silk flower
  • baby's breath or similar small floral decorations
  • narrow ribbon to make a bow
  • glue gun and glue sticks

Project Instructions:

1. If the air freshener has a clear plastic wrapping, remove the wrapper. Heat up the glue gun and glue the pregathered lace trim around the top of the air freshener, so that the edge of the lace is lined up around the edge of the air freshener. Apply glue only to the top of the lace, which will be hidden by the flower.

2. Center the carnation on top of the lace and glue in place.

3. Glue one or two sprigs of baby's breath, or other small silk flowers, under one section of the carnation.

4. Make a bow from thin ribbon, and glue the bow just underneath the baby's breath.
